About the Role

We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician to join out Fixed Plant Maintenance team, based at Yandi on a 14:7 roster. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, your role will involve safely conducting maintenance of electrical plant and equiment across site.
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities
  • Safely conduct planned and unplanned  electrical maintenance activities
  • Comply with electrical standards, weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures.
  • Working effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors.
  • Building relationships across Site and Functions to achieve a positive working environment for task execution
  • Monitoring of asset electrical integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements
  • Demonstrating, supporting and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Complete quality, task-based risk assessments
  • Electrical testing of new and modified installations
  • Strong commitment to the field leadership program

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Electrical Trade certified & A grade electrical license
  • Current Australian C class manual drivers licence
  • Strong safety focus and a history of field leadership participation
  • Well-developed understanding of the operation and maintenance of Fixed Plant equipment
  • Experience working with high voltage, instrumentation, PLC controls systems.
  • Experience in understanding schematic drawings and fault finding
  • 1SAP & Fiori knowledge and skills
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a desire to develop and learn
  • Previous site experience, preferably in a similar type of role
